What you’ll need
- Blender 3.0+, Python 3.10+ and uv, according to the maintainer.
- An MCP client and the Blender add-on installed and enabled.
Get connected
- Install uv and follow the maintainer’s instructions to install and enable the Blender add-on.
- In Blender, start the connection from the add-on’s panel.
- Register the MCP server in your agent using the maintainer’s client-specific instructions, then restart the agent.
- Open a new scene and ask the agent to inspect the current objects before changing anything.
A first request
“List the objects in the current Blender scene.”
The add-on accepts code execution. Keep the connection local and check the project’s security notes. Some optional model-generation services have separate costs.
Details and commands can change. Follow the maintainer’s current setup instructions .
